Every woman juggles a hundred things a day - and your bag should keep up beautifully. At Bobbin & Spool, you can now design your own bespoke bag that reflects your style, rhythm and values. Because at Bobbin & Spool I believe your bag should be as individual as you are.

Each style is made to order, with thoughtfully placed pockets, durable hardware and signature stitching. Start designing your bag today - it could be with you in as little as 6 weeks.

Step 1: Choose Your Style

Pick your base design - the silhouette that suits your lifestyle best from these 5 styles:

The Sling Bag – Our best-seller for a reason. Wear it across your chest or back – ideal for busy days and hands-free moments. One external zipped pocket and one internal slip pocket. Custom made: £90; H28x W18x D8 cm

The Shoulder Bag – Sleek, secure, and just the right size for your essentials: purse, keys, glasses, and iPad. With four pockets to keep everything snug and in place. Custom made: £90; H26 x W23 x D4 cm

The Backpack – Small but mighty! Lightweight and the perfect size for carrying all you need for a day of exploring. With four pockets you’ll be organised as well as feeling great. Custom made: £100; H37.5 x W 34 x D10 cm

The Tote - Your stylish carry-all companion, spacious yet beautifully organised. Designed to carry your laptop, and daily essentials. Three pockets and an integral water bottle sleeve. Custom made: £120; H30.5 x W38 x D12.5 cm

The Messenger bag - Timeless style with everyday practicality, this hands-free bag with six pockets will keep you neatly organised. Custom made: £120; H29 x W24 x D6.5 cm

Step 2 - Select Your Main Fabric

Your main fabric sets the tone – will it be waxed canvas, with its rich texture and beautiful patina that deepens over time, or dry oilskin, with its smooth, classic finish? Each fabric is carefully chosen for its quality, durability, and natural water resistance.

Not sure which fabrics to choose? You can order a sample pack of your favourites. Take a look at the fabric options in steps 2-4 and fill in the form below.

Each pack includes 8 samples for £6.50. This can be made up of a mix of main, accent and lining samples. If you don't select 8, I’ll add a few fabrics to spark inspiration. Order your bag within two weeks, and I’ll deduct the £6.50 from your final total.

Step 3 - Pick an accent fabric

Add a contrasting or complementary fabric for the exterior pocket, base or flap of the bag. This is where you can let your personality shine through - subtle pairing or bold contrast it’s up to you.

Step 4 - Choose your lining

Be bold with a cheeky flash of colour or be subtle with calming prints and matching shades of colour inside your bag. Will it be a classic cotton print or a pre-loved duvet or favourite item of clothing having a second life, to make you smile when you rummage in your bag?

Step 5 - Pick your straps

If you’ve chosen a sling bag, backpack or tote - you now need to select the colour of your straps.

Will you choose contrasting straps to make the design pop or classic black, navy or khaki straps for a style that suits any outfit?

For the shoulder bag and messenger bag, the straps will be made from the main fabric you’ve selected.

Step 6 - Add your extras

Complete your bag with optional extras - an additional inside pocket, a matching key lanyard, purse, or cosmetic pouch. Prefer to keep things simple? That’s fine too - your bag will be beautiful either way.

The matching purse and cosmetic pouch are fully lined. The purse is big enough to carry coins, cards and notes and measures H 10 x W 15 x D 3.5 cm.

The cosmetic pouch is perfect for carrying make-up, a few favourite cosmetics or you can use it as a pencil case. It measures H 9 x W 22 x D 9 cm
