I'm Claire, the proud owner and creative force behind Bobbin & Spool. From my garden studio in the beautiful village of Downton, on the edge of the New Forest, I design and sew one-of-a-kind handmade bags and soft furnishings.

My journey in the world of sewing began 20 years ago during a trip to India. The vibrant colours and textures of the fabrics I encountered sparked a love for craftmanship that still inspires every piece I create today.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything I create, using pre-loved or eco-friendly fabrics to craft beautiful, functional and one-of-a-kind items. By embracing sustainable materials and slow fashion, I aim to reduce waste and bring intentional, joyful living into everyday life.
