Bags that Tell a Story
It’s been such fun seeing your designs take shape - each one so different, yet equally personal.
A recent favourite came from the Romsey and Ringwood markets - Bex who adores giraffes and warm autumn shades chose a brown waxed canvas with a pop of orange giraffe print for the lining. She needed extra pockets for all her essentials, which we added with ease, creating something both practical and full of charm.
Another beautiful creation featured a heritage William Morris Pimpernel fabric paired with blue waxed canvas, redesigned with backpack straps instead of a sling - all while reflecting Christine’s unique taste.

You’re Shaping What Comes Next
Bobbin & Spool has always been a shared journey, shaped by your ideas and stories.
A bag is never just a bag - it carries memories, meaning, and a reflection of who you are.
Caroline loved choosing her own fabrics and colours, understanding that a handmade bag becomes a reminder of friendship and connection. She even shared another bag made by a friend in Australia, featuring native flowers and seeds - a beautiful symbol of their bond. Now back in the UK, she continues the story with a Bobbin & Spool bag, personal and unique, with meaning stitched into every seam.
Bernard, a regular at Dorchester Market, brought a tapestry fabric featuring a tiny poppy and a circular rose window - a nod to Lausanne Cathedral, where his son lives. This will become the feature panel of a one-of-a-kind messenger bag we’re designing together.
I love how you embrace the handmade process - choosing fabrics that tell your story, selecting the pockets you’ll really use, and putting your personality into every stitch. These bags aren’t just accessories; they become part of you.
