More Than Just a Bag
One of my favourite things about creating bespoke bags is hearing the stories behind them.
Recently, I made a yellow mini backpack that was secretly commissioned by a mum, Theressa, for her daughter, Grace. It wasn't just the style of the bag that had been carefully considered – every fabric had been chosen to represent a special memory they share.
The yellow damask fabric on the front pocket had previously been used in the refurbishment of a local National Trust property. Theressa and Grace love visiting National Trust properties together and have a particular soft spot for Mottisfont and its beautiful rose garden, making it the perfect choice.
Inside the bag is a little nod to another favourite place – Longleat. Together they’ve celebrated many birthdays there, so it simply had to feature giraffes!

It's these thoughtful details that make bespoke orders so special. A bag becomes so much more than something practical to carry your everyday essentials. It becomes a reminder of favourite places, happy memories and the people we love.
More and more of you are commissioning bespoke bags as meaningful gifts, and I understand why. There's something really lovely about creating a piece that's completely unique and designed to tell someone's story.
After all, the very best bags don't just carry our belongings – sometimes they carry our memories too.
