The Autumn Collection is coming…

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at Bobbin & Spool lately, as I’ve been busy bringing my Autumn Collection together.

When I say my bags are one-of-a-kind, I really do mean it. I’m not working from rolls of fabric with a fixed design in mind. I’m choosing fabrics, playing with combinations and creating each bag around the fabrics I have. So when a particular combination comes together, that exact bag won’t be made again.

And this collection is a little different for me too. I’ve created four completely new bag styles, including shapes I’ve never made before, alongside some beautiful new fabric combinations.

Of course, there’s been a little drama along the way! My trusty Juki decided it had worked hard enough and packed up, leading to a slightly frantic weekend of sewing-machine swapping. Thankfully, my mother-in-law’s Janome came to the rescue – the very machine she used to make bags and quilts for the WI.

But the good news is, the collection is coming together and 30th October is the date!
